Old man said David Marshall was paid $3,500 when he could be earning $10-20k/mth as a lawyer then.

Today, the PM is paid probably among e top lawyers.

$150k for a terrace house in the 60s? Must be prime location with huge land or something. I don't think it was that high, but probably $50-100k region for most terrace houses then.

Personally i also doubt the financial benefits it can bring to either country. More likely to end up as a white elephant due to high ticket cost and low usage. In the end both side of citizens need to pay for the loss making HSR ...
