the last time i tried, quite a few managed to hide and grow in my tank. got one grew to almost 8inch. managed to catch them all out and throw into a pond in my estate. still have 2 4-5 inch ones in my sump. your altums being able to withstand the wide pH swing shows how tough they are when settled in. |

yup altums are fun to watch when they grow. But the top and bottom fins don't always grow proportionally. Those with very tall fins looks very nice. If i have time i'll take some pics tonight.
