IME xingu grow very slow maybe 1.5" at max per year.

I have some others look to be thunders. They have gone from 2"TL to some being over 6"TL is less than two years.

from my experience with monster panaque that is 23-30",when they are very stable and comfortable with surrounding, one day feed one time with an adult hand fully graping a fist of algae wafer, all eaten up clean.
That fist of food easily contain 30-50pieces for just one monster.
when I said that, doesn't mean they are fully fed yet.i don't know their limit!!!!!

However there is a cheaper way of feeding, they will finish up a half piece of potato with skin peel per feeding

cheers
