Slow-growing tangans?
Hi bros, what other slow-growing tanganyikan cichlids are there? Currently have a few altos. Planning to have a few other types to accompany them. Looking at leleupis, any more? Can't seem to find any info from the net.

A single Julie may be okay. Depending on your tank set up.
I think for 2ft Rock dweller set up, a xeno is not advisable.

It is hard to keep tangans alive in a 2ft tank unless you chose to keep only the really peaceful ones, i.e. nigripinnis, leptosommas, etc. Even if u keep the peaceful ones, u have to make sure of the sex ratios as the alpha male tend to kill off the rest due to space constraint.
2ft for tangans is best for only grow-out tank or quarantine tank or breeding pair tank or small colony of shellies. You may wanna try switching them ideally to a 4ft tank. |
