Default ESU CORALIFE Deionization Filter

Finally got hold of this Deionization Filter brought back to me from a friend in USA.

Unit is the standard 10" Housing , complete with Hose , wrench and is a plug and play set. Comes together with a installed colour coded Mixed Bed resin catridge . According to instruction, replace catridge every 6 mths depending on usage or 3000 gallon, depending on which occurs first, and also the quality of water . Haven't got time to hook up yet,but some pictures to show.

Deionization unit, just function as a tap water purifier , like what u use yr 4 stage RO unit for. Except that the purification here involve resins to remove organic in water, yr RO uses reverse osmosis mtd, carbon filter, sediment filter to do the process. No water wastage for DI unit, but alot of wastage for RO units .Catridge replacement for DI unit is cheaper than the TFC membrane in the RO unit.

don't know why suddenly so many guys ask questions regarding pricing about this unit? Okay, according to my friend, he bought it off this online site www.aquariumguys.com . Main unit(include hose, wrench) + 2 Mixed Bed reisns catridges( stated idea for reef) = USD53.48 (sgd 89.84) . Of course, if you ship the item back to Singapore , was told that be prepared to pay addn SGD $50 to $60, if bulk order will save cost via Vpost USA.Hope it helps.
or maybe someone can check with Eralco ( local distributor regarding this unit)

Plain marketing of the Coralife DI w/o analysis done is meaningless, so here's the
some water parameter tested:

PO4 = 0ppm after mixed with Coralife salt = 0ppm
NO3 = 0ppm after mixed with Coralife salt =0ppm
TDS = ( to be checked again this week when i get the meter from another reefer)

Hi bro,
You really got lots of lobang hor...

anyway if i'm not wrong base on the instruction 3000 Gallon or 6 mths. the resin should be use together with R.O membrane. If really give 3000gallon than really worth invest.
