Exclamation "Cupping" during feeding time

Hi Bros,

Just wondering if there is any "damages" done when bigger rays "CUP" the smaller rays epsecially during feeding times.

It's like the bigger ray trying to "squeeze" the smaller rays to give up the food ??

I don't really see any visible damage done to the smaller rays, maybe because they are still pups, sizes ranging from 4.5" to almost 6".

But when it gets bigger, I am sure there might be damages done ??

Pls enlighten me ...cheers!!

There should be no problem as long as the smaller pups are eating well & no wounds/biting marks. It'll be more appropriate if you can inform the difference in size.

It is always suggested not to comm rays with too great size difference, though there's some whom success. Most importantly, keep good water parameter and feed well.

Their size different is about 1.5" i.e. 4.5" (smallest) ascompared to almost 6" (biggest).

I observed that it is almost like a "habit" for the bigger ray to "throw his weight" around....and cup the other smaller rays

But I am more "stressed out" during the feeding time, it seems more "force" is used by the bigger ray , just hoping no serious damage is done..

Well will monitor them closely...
