I have a friend who faces the same situation. He got a uv. According to him, quite effective.

Bro, Just get a UV Pump. Takes around 2 weeks to clear all the green water. Pump must be run 24-7. Tried, tested and proven for me.

Cheers!

Safe for aros and rays but aesthetically not pleasing ..... and I didnt wait until got casualties then I clear up the algae.
Wc plus manually scrubbing off the algae works but will come back within a day or two.
I have this problem with few of my tanks that is near the window.

After a while, algae will start to form on the glass..

Get a UV, it works for me. Green green water became crystal clear after a week.
