Its about 5 months old now I think.
I think the crystal glass and all the algae cleaning helped with the clear shots

Nice. You should intro this PnS camera to the hobbyists here.

Set your camera's aperture higher bro. Should give you more background details in your pictures. But higher aperture require bright light in the tank for picture taking though.

Thanks for the tip bro. I'm currently using low aperture as I'm using rather low ISO and high shutter speed to avoid having the "blurry feelers" effect but I'll go play with the F tonight and see how much I can push it.

The camera is a Canon SX200IS. Considered a compact super zoom. Generally a jack of all trades kinda cam

Yup, impulse buy at C328...bad decision
The 2 chaps been in there for coming 2 months now. Now getting braver and venturing out of their hiding places more

Water parameters?

pH 6.1-6.8 (dependent on CO2/lighting period)
KH4
GH8
Temp 24.5-25.5
Nitrate 10-20ppm
Ammonia/nitrite 0ppm

I have a feeling that its not the pH that kills them, since even people with high pH reports poor survival rates. If these guys can live for another month, it'll be interesting...
although I doubt they'll ever breed

Low aperture do give you brighter picture but also more blurry background. Use flash as well and that blurry effect will be cut down alot.
