OH NO!!! US WANT TO PRATA!!!
PLEASE KEEP HIM!!! http://mothership.sg/2017/04/amos-ye...onths-to-come/ Amos Yee still in jail in the US & probably will be for months to come April 26, 2017 The US government has decided to appeal against his successful asylum application. He’s probably not smiling right now, and human rights groups are probably going to be really upset about this. Singapore’s l’enfant terrible Amos Yee, who has been in detention in the US for the past four months and one week after declaring his intention to seek asylum there, is… still in there. And now that the US government has appealed against his successful asylum bid, the 18-year-old, according to a report from the Associated Press, is set for another round of months of waiting. In jail. Here’s what it says: “Yee’s attorney Chris Keeler said Tuesday that the case is now before the Board of Immigration Appeals. A final decision could take months. The Department of Homeland Security declined comment Tuesday. Immigration and Customs Enforcement (ICE) didn’t immediately have comment. An ICE online database shows Yee is detained at a Wisconsin jail.” Somehow we doubt this is what Yee had in mind. The teenager left Singapore for the US in December 2016, where his asylum bid was premised on him being jailed here previously. In all, he has spent about 130 days in detention in the US since his arrival there. |
