if you can, do baki shower with Bacteria house. Got a few threads on this which have proven to be effective to reducing overall nitrates.

I myself tried plants, not noticeable change..

finclk i think a cheaper alternative would be to set up trickle towers or TTs however this would entail a certain area of space.

The trickle tower that you mentioned sounds interesting. Care to share about it. My water now is clear already after installing the k1 moving filter for a few days.

Anybody heard of the algae filter screen. U can google it. It's supposed to be a very efficient way to remove nitrate. Not tried it myself.

If I would like to get a freshwater denitrator for a 422 tank, is there any recommendation on brand and models?

hi bros, if u are interested in seeing or learning about algae scrubbers please feel free to contact me. have a 3x2ft algae scrubber running on natural sunlight powers my 5x3x2.5 aro tank. have not changed water in about a year, significant growth and rays (yes rays 2 infact plus 2 pups are eating v well and doing chin up )

on a different note, ive never tested my nitrate leve and i do keep some TGY in my overflow as well as some purigen in my sump

can can, vic u interested? i think ur 9ft too big ah. haha. impossible to do scrubber, tt one need TT or bakki alr...
