Default Submerge pump for 3ft x 1.5ft tank

Hi all

Just want to enquire if my pump is too strong?

Boyu submersible pump model SP2500
Power: 34W
Hmax: 2.0m
Qmax: 1400L/H

I have so many fishes all suck to the pump and dead.....

If this is too strong, what size should I get?

Thanks.
Shirley

I guess your tank height is 1.5' so it should be around 180 liters of water.. I think it's too strong for the tank.. normally 3 to 5 times is good enough for me..

How you know its not the other way ... die already then stuck to the pump?
Your filtration/bioload is also another possible factor.
