Really hope ST can successfully bred. So that its available readily again....at 50 bucks apiece. I dun mind even if i lugi.

I actually feel that the current situation is better. The demand more than supply makes the fish more precious & sought after. It's just like altums, only available when in season. If supply is greater than demand, it'll become a "longkang" fish, past examples are LH & now the arowanas. See how the prices of Aros have nosedive cos of over breeding. The aquarium fish trade is slowly diminishing cos ppl dun find it a prestige to keep such fishes.
Now every tiger keeper long to have a ST in their tank. Those who have treat them like treasure. The more difficult to get, the more precious they become. |
