Yeah but the problem is, he doesnt want any food !
He only eat 1 or 2 morio worm a day before... and when he was on prawns he only had half of 1 prawn... When he was smaller he use to eat atleast 5 worm in morning and 5+ at night feeding... Now at 14inch he only eat 1-2 a day.. sometimes nothing... |

water parameters? something wrong? time to do water change? Water filtration?
Environment? something spooked it? We're not psychics here. Can't solve your problem from reading what you wrote.

Tank size is 5ftx2x1.5, around 110 gallon~
Nitrite - 0-0.25ppm Nitrate - 0-2 ppm Ammonia - 0-0.25ppm pH - 7.86 I do 30% water change every week~ I'm in UK and we can't buy feeders here... and I prefer feeding morio or prawns for aro.. Is he just really picky ? :S Try feeding now but he not interested, put in a floating morio and he looks at it then swim away... a clown loach got the morio and then he go down to snatch from clown loach... But when my Pike charge for morio to eat he doesn't even care, too lazy to fight for food? Thanks |

Sorry double post, more info on aro
When I first got him I feed crickets, good eater 7-8 in morning and 7-8 at night. Then changed to morio worm and he would eat 4-5 morning and 4-5 night. Then once he hit around 12 inch, he started to stop going for food like he use to (no more dash/charge for food) and then only eat 2-3 morio one day and now sometimes he doesnt even want morio worm... changed his diet to prawn by starving and he would only eat half a prawn or so a day... Don't know what to do :S |

Lost appetite and stop eating can be many reasons, and is quite common for Aro. What you can do is observe and have more patience, maintain good water parameters, frequent wc. Just don't stress out. Hahaha....

Yeah, I been told they can lose appetite sometimes.
But this has been going on for 5-6 months... I try to observe, but hard to see what is happening. He use to sit in the corner a lot but now it is getting better and he hardly sits down anymore, swimming more frequent but appetite still very bad. Makes me very stressed ah! |
