2 x 2260 into 1
Anyone tried connecting two units of 2260 into 1 ?....Using one inlet to canister...overflow to next canister then using one 1260pump to pump back into tank....thought of trying but don't know can or not....

Why not just do something like this? When i get my 2nd 2260 i will definitely hook it up this way as well. Thanks!

There will be a considerable decrease in the flowrate for such series connection using a single pump. A stronger pump such as eheim 1262 may be used then.

will work. but u need a higher rated pump. better to get 1264.
one thing u shld note is that if u connect both together, means when ur doing cleaning, u will be stopping both canisters at the same time. |

It will work but more headache during maintenance bro. Suggest to run individually so u can do maintenance for individual canister during alternate weeks.

Actually I think the suction flow will drop as there is more pressure drop between two canisters hence pump capacity should remain or reduce instead....I thought of doing this as practicallyI think it would provide better biofiltration since I can have more mechanical filters in first canister before biofilter in second canister.....hope to see more feed back...:-)

bro...this set up seems like running individual canister just that suction and discharge are connected to one....may not be good for the pump as the discharge are going to the same outlet.... |

This could surely work, but you'll need a more powerful pump to pull water through!
