Default Backyard Fgts Pond Redo Project

Hi guys, just to share some pictures of redoing of my humble backyard fgts pond in chronological order. Enjoy...

Front view, the original woods have been removed on top. Detached & re glued all piping to make sure no water leaking. Add in extra pump at the middle fgt for the OHF tub

Back view: The other size of the fgt pond. The 3 fgts are all connected, size of 6x4x2.5ft each. They can be separated and run individually if needed. There is a overhead tub which is the 2nd filter I add in for the fgts pond.

Back view with sump tank: From the photo you can see the 4x2.5x2ft sump tank next to the fgt. And the thing on top the sump is a DIY UV light.

Sump: 1st compartment full of Jap mat, 2nd and 3rd compartments with 1/3 jap mate on top, and 2/3 ceramic ring at the bottom. 5~10kgs coral chip at the last compartment.

An hidden underground water pipe to the drain, for water overflow from the fgts pond

1st fgt with the OHF tub

I was shocked to see the pond wall painted with green, wrong instruction by my younger brother while I wasn't around. I had requested to repaint the body to black with extra cost..

DIY dividens using to separate fishes in the fgts

Wooden covers with net for each fgt

Nutrafin recommended by my lfs, use to cultivate the beneficiary bacterial and speed up the cycling process. I use up the whole bottle in 4 days..

Plant some pandan leaves in the OHFtub to absorb nitrate, as well as deco and nice fragrance...

Answer revealed! It is used as the base for the 4x2x1.5ft ray pups keeping tank

Back of the 4ft tank. A 4ft 3 layers Mr Aqua OHF on top the glass tank which serves as the 3rd filteration system of the fgt pond

Busy with piping, looking good..

1st layer of the OHF, genuine Momotaro Bacteria House

5kgs each of Biohome & Biohome+ containers

This is how Biohome look like in brand new. They look the same even after 4 to 5 yrs and doesn't change much in term of sizes and weights

Mixed together and fully allocated into the remaining 6pcs 1ft Mr Aqua trays

This is the final OHF look with good trickling effect for bio-filtration. It doesn't require to be cleaned/washed as water is drawn from the last compartment of sump tank...

90% done, just add in some more plants on the ohf n water plants in the tank then project finish...

12" symmetric lines Triginus。。
