Default Feeding for a heavily planted tank

I am getting a tank that is heavily planted, the subtrate is basically covered with monte carlo. I intend to keep shrimps. May I know how I should do feeding? Or do I have to clear a patch and put a petri dish for the purpose? Thanks.

I personelly feel u cab clear a small patch in the front of the tank and put a feeding dish or a flat stone in the area. It would nice to see the shrimps come out to feed.

Gex L tank, seven star external filter. Some cherries and danio.

Double PL light.

Is 6 hours of lighting sufficient? The tank is in my room, where air-conditioner is turned on most of the time. Can the danio tahan the temperature? Thanks

Thumbs up

Very nicely done.

Lighting seems enough and at top end of limit cos some algae seen. Personally I am surprised that 6 hours is enough.

There's no need to have open patch for feeding cos the shrimps are natural at scavenging all over but be good cos then you can see the shrimps at feeding time.
Avoid petri dish, less hands in tank better for shrimps just a clear ground should do.

The monte carlo growth is impressive! Looks so thick and lush!

How about purchasing a a NAG glass feeding dish?
