My biggest concern is medication.

Too many Ray newbies are not aware that Rays are sensitive most medication.
And becos chances the ray is kept with an Aro in the tank, all medication put in for the aro end up killing the ray.

Also, ray newbies who IBS go an play with the established tank filtration and screw up the water ending up killing the ray.

For those who is not sure abt the meds. Best is not to use any. Recently, I discovered that my ray kena fungus. and the affected area is spreading. Very much wanted to use prarafix, but after talking to sum1 decided not to. Instead, I do 10 - 15 % WC. Age the water in the morning, dump in 1 handful of salt in each pail. Do WC in the night. To my suprise, the area is getting smaller and clearing.

From my experience.
Melafix and Pimafix are safe for rays if really need to medicate.
Whether used individually or in combination.

Try salt and constant WC first. If it does not help then use meds.I feel safer.

Yes....Medication is only for no choice situations.
But problem with most ray keepers is that the medication that they intro into the tank are meant for the aro and not ray.
