For my zebra, I have an air stone that's just below the surface of the water. I'm using a 4L tank, so water height is above the pincers when it stands up straight on its hind legs. I also place the air stone in the middle of the tank (using clips and a kinky air tube) so it won't climb out. As added precaution, I put netting and something heavy on top of the tank.
You can consider using a hang-on filter provided the water level is way high (tank must be big, in other words) so the cray/lobster cannot climb out. On a sidenote, my first zebra died because I didn't aerate the water and I placed in 10 ghost shrimp for food. The shrimp all died and fouled the water. And this happened over a span of 16 hours! So much for being very tolerant to poor water conditions. |

I would suggest for a start to keep a pair of crayfish 2ft tank will be ok.
As for food can ffed them using Hikari Crab Cuisine sinking pellet cost you the most is S$4.20 and on top of that release a few guppy for them to hunt if they feel hungry. Filter personally i use a Overhang filter but you can also use a normal air-pump with a sir tubleand not for getting use a plastic mass to cover the top of the tank to prevent any MIA happen. As for breeding is your luck......... |
