yes bros i have to agree with both of you. PATIENCE is the KEY to keeping a red... if you are looking for fast development, get a xback... reds take a long long long LOOOOONG time to reach its full potential

Bro tea,

I always want to ask a question - does adult reds stay in the different segments of the Kapaus river from the young reds?

Cos apparently their living requirements would be different and water parameters is something I trying to resolve...till now I have yet to create the PH 4 water ...haizz...damn difficult to balance the parameters

Those that skip the yellow and orange stage most of them could be thin frame, at juvenile stage really got not much colour.
Yes, most the so call "Real red" got thin frame and their development is rather slow but there are cases that they develop faster. I mean the clour.

Zoff have posted afew picture of a normal red development!

totally agreeable.....

when they are coming to 2 years of age there be a time they start fasting...
once reaching maturity of spawning they fast again....
my ex red use to fast ....
but eventually they become a big eater and this is the right time to feed centipedes and nothing else ....you will see the red starts to climb top and bottom...it pays ....

to really control your PH try Pineapple skin....but clean them thoroughly...

I agree with bro Tea, you have most of the grounds covered from Tea feedback. All in the gene.
