giant gouramis are not fussy eaters, in fact not shy at all when it comes to food, haha. there are some huge gouramis at mainland farm, i've also seen some really monstrous ones abt 24-30".

so sorry abt yur loss bro, my giant gourami also took out several tankmates, even the common suckers that usually just quietly hide one corner...

over the yrs it could only get along well with a parrot & IT which i'v let them both go some time back. now its on its own...

thanks bros~..i tot i was the only one with this problem...since i have been reading about people comming giant gouramis...i did not assume any aggression displayed by them would lead to deaths of any tankmates...

i think it is because mines a small gourami...read online that they will turn more gentle as they grow older...

now i have to keep them separated in the 2ft tank ...hope it doesnt get stunted =\
