I am current using this in my sump as well.

The result so far is amazing.

Near zero Nitrate and Nitrites with min water change per week.

That is volcanic rock?

I think Anubias is not much of a nitrate sucker. You need fast growers like hornwort. Just float some in the tank. Some people also swear by money plant.

Anubias not going to work. Hornworts and some floaters like frogbits will be better

Thks for those advise. Couldn't help it... like Anubias a lot. Maybe will get hornworts when free.

Didn't measure the nitrate. Guess will get one when at lfs(if got time). Currently only housing 1 xb, 2 IT, 6 silver dollar, 1 sucker fish n 1 bichir.

ic. good to have 1 set of test kits. ph, ammonia and nitrite are ok? what is the size of the fishes and water volume?
