Phew. He still swims around. Eats like monster. Maybe that's his natural Color.
The red map one, although smaller likes to bully though.

I suppose these two are females?

It's naturally for blue discus to display darker coloration in planted tank.

Take a closer picture of them, see if we can guess it's gender.

ahyo my 'fish doctor' refer to all the senior and expert in this forum loh.. as long as you sense your fish something wrong, cannot eat cannot sleep cannot shit, just post it here.. i believe a lot of kind bro hidden dragon will help to give advice here.. that include you too bro itchy hee..

I noticed that the stripes disappear sometimes, then appear again. I am referring to the darker one.

Is that normal?

Hi Bro Ooch, stripes appearing are very normal for some strains of discus fish, can be due to stress, scare or sick etc.. with my limited experience, I only observe 3 things, as long as your discus can eat, swim upright & shit black black then no need to worry too much..but remember to do some water change everyday..
