Sad to learn about your loss of Discus, taku. I also just lost one young 2.5" RGD yesterday after 50% water change in my quarantine tank. Similar to yours, no colors lost and was happily eating the day before. However, upon closer inspection, I saw anchor worms attaching to its head though they don't seem to be the caused.

I suspect chlorine spike in the water as I just dose in the standard amount of Safe + Stress Coat + Discus Buffer + Vitamins. The rest of the tanks seem fine except for one of my angel fish which seem to encounter the same problem. Laying at the bottom of the tank and breathing hard. Aeration is good as the others don't have this problem.

Got to monitor for a few more days and keeping my fingers crossed for the angel fish to recover.

recently the water temperature v cold and my discus stress recently. Need to use heater this period and my daily wc is 50% daily recently. So far okay already. Just sharing. This year will be a huat year for every discus brothers. Fish gets bigger + breed more and career growth.
