plj is too obvious to hope for much.

the question now should be whether u mind plj. if u dont mind the plj then nurture it well n enjoy it n ignore the plj. if u dont like plj then sell it n get one that can make u happy.

TS, if can sell, sell.

If u are new to Aro, suggest u keep and play with it for a while to sharpen ur Aro grooming.

Alternatively, u can like me, once I use the Aro which I dislike the most to be my water tester fish. Hahaha

I recently also bought a bbxb. My wife kept saying that arowana are special.. Like they have "souls".. So, whichever you selected and bought is destined to be yours for a reason. There was a connection between the fish and the buyer.

Thanks all for the generous advice. Definitely going with the giving tlc route for this piece. Its starting to show more connection now. Been moving close to the front of tank whenever i place a hand near.
Very happy. Haha.

Just an update:
1st - Carnistick
Tried the first stick then spit it out. Tried another stick and still spit it out. It was a good sign that now its ready to eat.
2nd - Market Prawn
Drop some small-cut market prawn right in front of it. It swallowed the first. Superr Happy!
The following pieces that i dropped, it decided to spit it out.
That was yesterday.

Got nothing to update in terms of its size. Still pretty much the same size. Got some tankmates for it. Juvenile RedKelah and Juvenile RedFeiFongin addition to the always-hiding Bichirs & IT. Wanted more activity in the mid-water level. Perhaps could also be a trigger to the RTG's apetite.

Going to try again later when im back. Hope it eats a few more pieces today. Will Seachem Garlic Guard help build the appetite?

I think your priority now is make sure you feed it enough and hopefully minimise the stunted growth…
at this point, IMHO, is to feed whatever induces its appetite.

Sad to say you don't have the luxury of starving your fish like others trying to convert to dry food.
Your choice of mp is good!
