I understand he will eat eventually, right? My question is how long he can go on hunger strike and does is dangerous he not eating at all? note: he still swimming around but not eating 😰 Another question, he face easily get a pimple 😖 even i daily WC around 10-20%. What th actual cause of it? |

From superworm to pellet is too drastic.
Imagine eating fried chicken to plain biscuits... Try Hikari sinking carnivores pellets, that one smelly enough to entice them. I think it might take a long time.... |

It will depend on your fish's character.
Normally I will do frequent massive water change. Add in many fishes to entice the urge to compete for food. Maybe you can try stuffing the pellets into mp? |

I usually stop feeding for 3 weeks.
Then wc. Next day throw 2-3 pellets, usually aro will eat. If don't eat, net out pellets. Fast one more week, then wc. Next day throw in again few pellets. My aros have even eaten koi bran pellets.

4 weeks+ and he still not eating a single pellet
How can I force him to take? Regarding pimples. it come and go but now it appear again even i constantly 2 days WC. Is possible that my canister pump is not enough power to daily cleaning? I have 5ft tank with water level L: 60" H: 15" D:20" and I am using external filter of Shiruba XB-312 > For use in 500 L or less aquariums > Max water flow 1240 L/Hr (60Hz) / 1120 L/Hr (50Hz) > Max lift 170 cm |

i guess starving is the only way to force our aro to take pellets.
Water conditions in its tank are the main culprit to the pimple thing. Try daily wc. |
