It really depends on the wattage and what you want. How much light to use is really dependent on you. If you want more lights, then ensure that you have CO2 and nutrients to balance things up. Otherwise, if you want a simpler maintanence regime, then opt for lower lights, around 2wpg max.

thanx for the help. the next thing to do now is to find a light to fit into my tank hahaa
