I know when you see the K1 media not rotating in the contain you will worry right? Actually you can fill your container some more with K1 to 3/4 full. As the media start to cultivate bacteria, they will rotate even better in there.

Please find the video here:
http://i216.photobucket.com/albums/c...n/60ecc6d1.mp4 As I mentioned, this is my try. I will of course bring this and hang over the back of my nano 1ft tank. You guys can try inserting airstone etc to improvise the spinning..there are gaps between the top cover and the container to allow overflow back into the tank just in case. That's how I'm allow to insert the pump into the container. Cheers! |

One thing to note is it may work only for small tank as the water flow out of the box back to the tank is slow imo, unless can improvise to attach inlet to something with faster flow. |

I copied bro silane's idea and add a few modification.
Overall view Using CR as "legs" to support the sponge filter, just anytime i want to move it, i wouldn't stir the soil, and also act as a hiding spot for the shrimps. the bottle is not fully in the water, to prevent water from splashing out of the tank when the bubble popped. it also helped to reduce the sound make by it. added sponge to the hole to prevent shrimplet from going in. on other hand, i used the flow from the canister to kick start another half of the k1 media before adding them to the main one.
