Thks for sharing abt Bowfin... based on wat u shared, think will have to seriously consider before sourcing for one.. Btw, is it considered protected species, tats why not as common and openly sold here as compared to snakehead (since both look similar n predatory)? My experence w electric eel is tat they can be also sensitive to water chemistry also; even though e LFS owner told me easy to keep.. always fascinated by this fish- considered king of the amazon...

I don't think the Bowfin is a protected species, from my understanding, they are quite plentiful in their native country (USA) and are considered junk fish as they are not good tasting and frequently mess up fisherman's lure due to their powerful jaw. They do not do well outside of their environment and although juveniles are exported, they die like nobody's business. Hence the rarity in the aquarium business.
BTW how big is your EE? What do you feed it and how big is it now? Hope you don't mind, just want to kaypo abit. :-)

What an honour bro. As for the BEC, let me enjoy it lar, you already got one tokong and big one. Your pond full of solid Panaque liao, still want to target my one, don't leh bro.
