Thanks all! Always feel like its a big TV when I sit in front of it and watch the tangans swim here and there. Makes me feel like I have a piece of Lake Tanganyika at home. Very peaceful feeling. Hope you guys feel the same way too!

Beautiful tanga fishes.
They are all so beautiful and plentiful of species to choose from.
Price are much affortable but usually we keep in large quantity, so still can consider an expensive hobby.
They will be better to be posted individually at larger size photo so that it beauties can be shown clearly.
I am in love with tangan fishes.

Regards
Hi, those rocks are actually DIYed from styrofoam and cement, and they occupy around 25% of the tank's volume. What I am glad that it achieves is that I feel that somehow with the rocky background, the fishes are more daring and lively. As the background is undulating and with holes, there are portions of it that are always under the shadow and when the fishes felt threatened, they will retreat into the shadows. And it also provides a haven for my newly acquired eretmoduses as they always settle on the the sloped faces of the background to feed on the algae.

And I must agree that Tangans are beautiful individually, but what makes them special is that there is really interaction between the different fishes in the tank and while each is living their own lives, they add their own little bit of colour to the community.

Thanks. I guess they are all I can show for now. Hopefully I can get a slightly bigger tank when I move and make more elaborated backgrounds suited to the different tangans species.

Good luck to you! Setting up a tank is always interesting and it may take some time before we get what we will be really happy with.

A sight to behold. I guess tanks like this may just reignite the AC cichlids all over again.

Good job bro!
