Advice on Dorado!
Hi Bro, like to check with u guys,
Why is my Dorado colour not out yet. What may cause the problem? Tks |

its either too young,was taken care of poorly by the last owner(or lfs),or is just getting used to your setup.
feed it well and do your water changes,it will color up soon. they dont really get that golden coloration until past 8" anyway. |

its normal when they are young but everytime they grow bigger the color will be more obvious..

Dourado when young are all silvery in colour tone. Slowly as they grow they will develop the goldish colour tone and the finnages will turn reddish. Sometime the tank's colour background also play a part in bringing out the colour.

One of my doraudo loses its tail colour when it get into fight with the other pieces.. It will slowly regain the colour.. Just groom them and provide them with good water and food will do.. Like all say, the colour will be more obvious when it grow up.. Keeping fishes is a patience game..

Dorado have different types rite? Only the golden kind will turn bright yellow, the common one will be silverish?
