Need help from arowana experts
Hi I just bought a new super red arowana 8 inch about a week ago before this I had a golden arowana which died after 4 years so I just got this one . Okay back to topic I need some help , this new aro now isn't swimming properly its sticking to a corner of aquarium he was eating well he only swims to get his food and he goes back to that corner and just stay still there . Is it because of wavemaker pressure ? Or the lights are too bright and his not use to it ? Or is it because it's a new tank for him ?? Please do advise me thank you

likely it is not comfortable with the new environment. give it some time to get used to the new environment.
if it is swimming out to grab food, it should be healthy. 1) keep the water clean to maintain fish health. stressed fish gets sick easily. 2) make sure your tank is well covered. holes are well sealed, especially near the overflow into the sump. stressed fish are more jumpy.

Need to be patience may take longer time for the aro to get use to the environment.
You can try to add in tank mates size smaller than your aro let the aro dominate. As long as your aro eating well don’t worry let it be try not to stress or frighten it. |
