Default Dolphin Cannister Filter

Anyone uses Dolphin cannister filter for planted tank. Actually wanting to get Jebao but Dolphin pricing look rather attractive n warrant consideration. Looking to get 1 to setup another 3ft planted tank. Any comment on e Dolphin filter is appreciated. Tks.

i use c500.. or was it 600?... erm... but so far, used it for more than a year with no problems at all. and it is quiet too. but i guess the wattage a bit high, but other than that, it's a good boy.

used for my 2 feet planted, value for money. but u can also look at atman and jebao. dophin i dunno the spare parts, since it really hadn't spoil yet...

I find dolphin better then atman. The flow rate is consistently strong after 1 yr of use. Can't say the same about my atman.

me 2.. started with ehime filter becos the LFS guys say from germany, warrantee, blar blar blar.... well, it was good as I have used it for a few years without any problem but the price is a bit expensive lah.

Recently got a Atma filet for another tank bought from NA, it works the same as my Ehime..no diff leh, but price was almost half of the Ehime I bought.

Take note some canisters don't have the self priming pump....You end up having to "suck" the water into the canisters

Also some canister flow in different direction(bottom to top, or top to bottom), your placement of filter medium should be done accordingly.

hmm.. I have used eheim for very long. No problems have occur. Been using my 2228 for 5 years no prb. Liked it a lot. Low power consumption too. very quiet. The only downside i must agree will be the price of the filter.
Had a bad experience with the Jaebos...(really really bad) so switched the eheim series.
So far only the Eheim ProII series has a self priming system.
