the thing is ive still yet to see a really outstanding pc with very nice green n dark markings.

even those on the Internet only few pics look gd enough. the rest r pretty pale looking.

The green seems more visible at different angle.

i think retro
like dehelzis, polli and even normal senegal will become very very green once they r used to the tank water( provided it is good too)

the green-ness is environmentally determined

Nick: what u got r pretty gd ones. But what I meant is dark green similar to guinea lapradei or even those bichir bichirs which tokyogasmask posted. I remember seeing pics of that kind of quality.

Jebus: that I agree. Gd water n right environment will bring out the full potential of the fish.

I know what you are saying.
I remember back in the day when Retros were going by the name of Zaire Green, they were called that name for a reason!
They were a very dark powdery green color.
I have yet to see any of the Zaires have this tone in the last few years.

Thats a Lapradei.
But I remember seeing retros that green.
