The right person should take the seat, it is not about scholar, general or kaki. The saying goes, "Use the right tool for the right job". It is right to put someone or promote someone who has the background and experience for the job. This is top position besides providing top dollars, bonuses and perks but truly a critical one. So why parachuted this military general for this top position that was not in industry at all? Isn't it common for organisation to scrutinised all candidates based on similar industry background and experience before hiring? Even more stringent, if the position is top management, it is just basic logic. Why the different?
However, there are cases where monkeys were employed because the organisation wants to hid something. This practise were prevalent in a neighbouring country but I believe not in Sg, as we have strong regulations and laws against any monkey business.

According to Cow, he put it that Lemon voLANteered a difficult job that is like nobody wants it. What is he trying to say? We must accept and honour his contribution? Lemon is just not the right person, even he voLANteer.

Geeze...cough cough...spit blood.

Cantonese says: Mo mm tai kor tao mm ho tai mm tai kor moh. "Don't have such big head don't wear such big hat". VoLANteer my foot!

Seems that all the talk, blame naming and complains about over reporting by the press has succeeded in changing the culture - at least the staff in the department in charge of social media alerts on breakdowns have listened to their bosses.
Last few days breakdown announcements only by public, if they can't solve after a few hours maybe they make small announcement.

What blame? It's signal fault (today's LANGAR).

Let's move on. No need to Hara Kiri. Long Live the Dynasty.

See some similarity to armed forces.

Obey instructions, don't need to think. Ask you to do just do it.

You can do anything, just don't get caught. But got caught not doing maintenance of pumps resulting in flooding.
