It is immediately noticeable as i had tried running on one pump and 2 pumps the flow rate is like a big difference back to the tank.

Imagine 1st pump down, 2nd pump keep dry run. or 2nd pump down and 1st pump keep running still hose bust. might happen? While no ppl aware or around.

What i am confused is that the canisters are connected in series none of the pumps will be running on dry run...

Hi brother, as you see mat only good for bio and mech filtration for big to med size particles, u need wool to hold smaller particles before it goes through bio media and quickly clog them.

I might suggest to concentrate to mech media on first two tray of first canister.

mat on 1 layer is fine, then it can be follow by bio sponge and fine wool after it. then you can go for full bio media for the rest including second canister.

wool for the last tray of second canister is optional. but what i experienced is that fine wool in last tray before output can affect the output power to tank, it slows a bit. If you ensure the good mech filtration before it touching your bio media, I won't hesitate to put full bio media until the last tray.

this is based on my own experience and observation of many aro forums.

I wud be much pleased if any seniors can give additional correction or advice regarding this issue.
