My 322 is 10mm (at least).
At least I got no worries whenever I need to use them as hospital tank for my adult xb or for any other fishes in future.
If you know what I mean....

If more than 10mm, it is quite an overkill.

It's not about the fish breaking the glass, it's more of the pressure from the water in the tank.

fro what i know, 2ft height and above, need to be 10mm at least. If you dont want a tall tank to have bracing, tank thickness have to be even thicker.

My red hit the 8mm thick glass top so hard sinking the glass to the bottom of its tank.

Fortunately, no further damage to the tank. However, it lost at least half a dozen scales

Sure bro. Maybe I will have to settle with the bulky 10mm to be safe. Strangely my current tank that I bought second hand n used for 4 years is 1.8m tall n 8mm glass, and.... no bracing at all. The glass do look different from normal glass with a little dark tint, Dun have the usual green tint.

Some cut corner one use a thicker glass for the bottom plate, thinner on the side.

That is because I think they worry the support bars for base frame is too far apart. For deep tank 2 feet or more need 10mm for my 200L. If 300L my friend I just check he used 12mm.

Can have bracing at the bottom? I remember my 6 ft tank bottom is not flat.
