Aquamarin sells ATI tubes. Of the two, I think ATI is slightly more popular. I believe their similar to each other and would be more or less up to the individual which brand to use.
There's a difference between the T5 and T5ho. T5 I've seen two types, normal(NO) & high output(HO). For NO, the T5 bulb has the same rating as a normal fluoroscent bulb of similar length. For HO, the T5 bulb has a higher wattage rating than a normal fluoroscent bulb of similar length(Eg. For a 2ft tank lighting, a normal fluoroscent bulb would only be 18W but a T5 is 24W). We do not use NO for marine but we use HO. T5 HO is normally just referred to as T5 for convenience. I maybe wrong, can't quite remember but I think HO & VHO are referring to the same thing for T5s.

I believe NO T5 & T8 output is similar. HO T5 has higher output than T8.
