Ermm is it the bottom most tray when you are saying last unit?
Putting on the top tray will be redundant? As the bottom tray are fill with momotaro bact house, can mixed?

yes last unit. however, not all nitrates can be removed using the de-nitrator, so even if u put first tray also good enough. it can act as a media to house BB but I think the surface area is not big but still possible for BB to live in.

simply put them in ohf is not enough. you must feed them and know how to seed the media with bacteria
