thank you for supplying the entire context... most ppl misquote it as money as the root of all evil.

no.. it's the love for, or lust for it that is.. not money itself.. money in the right hands and heart can be a very humane and constructive resource..

i'm soo tired of hearing the "money is the root of all evil" prophets everywhere.. so shortsighted and myopic..

I am asian.. but i think it is not the mentality that religious must have nothing to do with money that make me widen my eyes when seeing the 500K. These ppl are capable leader, with great charisma and ability to lead and influence. They probably can earn this money or more without having to goes thru such scrutisim if they are in a MNC.

But the issue is they are religious leader in a churh, not a market place. I really have a mindset that money should be given to the poor, for school building, church fund, for food in third world countries, for cloths in countries where childrens do not have enough to wear, for medicine where people are dying for lack of care... giving 500K money to religious leader so they can afford to drive a 7 series BMW really doesnt paint a very holy picture to me....

thank you.. you have just proven exactly what I was saying... i couldn't have put it better, that an image of a 7 series driving holy man just doesn't click... it's that mentality and perspective i'm talking about..
