1) ur water pH level

2) tank size

3) water change percent and how long u change once

4) and lastly the type of pellet you feed.

Thanks!
The Altums are housed in a 6x2.5x2.5 set-up and the pH of the water has always been around 5 to 5.5 and as these Angels have been stabilised, I don't really need aged water to top up, just direct tap water will do. Per water change I will draw out about 20% only and the rest of the water will help to buffer the fresh water that is coming in. Depending on the water condition, I do a change fortnightly.
I am now trying to see if just by topping up water, will it be ok for the fishes..
As for the food, I do rotate and not just fixed on one type. It can be from using tetrabits to tubifex worms or just some other kinds of pellets. At this stage, they are not so picky about the food. Hope this helps..

Please keep up the good work and update for us more.

Thanks for sharing =)
Thanks and at this stage when they have been stabilised, I wouldn't expect to see any clamped fins at all, unless the water condition changes rapidly.
When I am around at home, I do feed them a few times a day or other at least twice on my busy day. They will take almost anything you give them and most of the time, I give them tetrabits or Frozen Blood Worms. Tubifex worms only if I can get them but not always.

Thanks and these Altums once stabilised, they are very greedy and are most willing to accept most food you give them...
