Default 1st time planted tank

First attempt into plnted tanks.. Small 1 ft tank in office.. will be a shrimp tank soon..

Using clip on filter, clip on light, no CO2, no Chiller cos office temperature is cold 24/7...




All comments welcome.. i very new to planted so would love to get any feedbacks or suggestions...

Is that riccia on the left? Looks like its growing well... But too much to trim it weekly.

I not sure if its riccia, got it from someone.. but find it abit too long now.. time to trim i guess... Can i just use normal scissors to cut?

Can i tie moss to the drift wood in the middle?? Would it be abit too much?? I want to tie the whole piece in fact... right to the tip... got alot of spare moss..

If you tie moss, then be prepared to not see the dw. It is really up to you.

hehe.. nt seeing DW is ok.. just want to have more greens in the tank and like the contrast of the riccia and moss... 2 shades of green...

Wow, your riccia is thriving even without co2... wonderful. But the tedious thing abt riccia is that if not trimmed they will propagate upwards and eventually float on the surface.

Yah... thats true... The will all propagate upwards... and grow pretty fast too.. So just did some trimming last night..
