I think 13w should be sufficient....but most experts advise a minimum of 18w...i might be wrong though. Since ur ikea light is still there, u can use it incase ur plants start to turn yellow?

Im using only 8w now and i notice the leaves of my wendtii is turning yellow already...i need to add more wattage liao.

Have tried to DIY a water spray and frankly..i cannot come up with any decent solutions to it....thats y in my current setup...only 2 outlets for water flowing down...looks very un-natural....anyway, heres a link on how the web author does water spray...u just have to get the right rainbar with small holes..or maybe use needles to poke?

yes bro.. will work. u can use a fatter needle for the 'hole drilling'

alternatively.. you can find those slimmer hard plastic tube. then burn the needle and DIY the holes.

Good luck. Enjoy the DIY-ing. Do update us when ready.

My pump is only 200l/hr....i need to trial and error abit...and also need to find ways to stop the end of the rainbar..cause as advised, will be using those plastic air hose...so got to think of something to plug the end. If distance of air hose too far...no pressure, water will just drip instead of spray....so got to spend some time to experiment.

Thks for the suggestion bro.

np bro

btw, I believe you have some aquarium safe silicon right? those will come in handy in DIY project.
Can seal off the end using silicon..cable tie..etc.. I think is feasible.
you can shorten the tube or narrow the hole openings if the pressure get too low..

or perhaps u can use back ur existing design.. just connect it to a self ready rainbar (those green 1 with small holes.)..

Cheers.. more pic hor..
