bru, mine is those cheapo skimmer..those dat uses a power head.
duno the exact name,but the brand is jebo. bought it few years back for my 2ft tank but its too big.so keep till now

bro, no need liao. I just got a cheapo one WeiPro SA2011. seems like the pump 1200 is not strong enough to create bubble to the cup. My tank water level is 4" lower than the skimmer water level indicator.

take my advice. get rid of the canister. nobody use canister in marine. i use canister last time, cannot make it. get a sump much better

since ur tank nothing much. y dun u restart.

and invest in a good skimmer. ur tank is big need a bigger and more efficient skimmer.

bru, no one use canister in marine?? oh no, i just started one 2wks ago. now still cycling the water.

Canister filtration is not a popular choice of filtration for marine, mainly the difficulty in keeping it clean as its troublesome to regularly open and clear the inside. Detritous can accumulate within it and result in it producing excessive nitrates.

Rest assured, it can definitely work but a sump tank is by far the most popular choice of filtration for marine aquariums.
