don really chk my tape water ph, few years back, i did have fun with plant tank setup w/o facing problem with water ph, think should be around 7 plus.

Anyway, i did a 50% wc and added some kh plus, ph increase to about 6, may be adding some coral chip to boost up a bit.

this is the first time i use soil, really shock with the low ph.....

Instead of using coral chip, I would suggest checking your tap water's pH since you already have a pH test kit.

pH is actually not that much of an issue unless you intend to keep fauna that requires high pH. Most fauna will be able to deal with it unless it's really acidic, like below 5.

perhaps u can put some fish like Boraras brigittae look more cooling..hehee just a 10cent suggestion

I think they may jump. And I'm not comfortable with placing anything but shrimps in that small amount of water.
