other methods is include a wavemaker, or aim your outlet to potential deadspot areas, where there may be build up of detritus

I've got 3 nerites, 2 otos, 8 yamatos on algae duty in my 1.5ft. Not much algae now, so supplementing their diet every 2 days with algae wafers. In my breeder box, i have 9 cherries on clean-up duty + 1 absolutely tiny un-ided snail.

Oh, an SAE is actually Siamese Algae Eater. Be careful if you're buying one as there is a lookalike fish that is being sold as an SAE but is actually not.

doesnt really have to be a wavemaker, your can have a small power head and put it one corner to push the flow to the other corner.

To be honest, I have NEVER seen any of my otos eat an algae wafer or even go anywhere near one. The algae wafers are meant more for the yamatos. My nerites and otos are just feeding off whatever they can find from the tank walls, pipes, tubings, bogwood, plants.

Nice shots, bro! Your cory is the only 1 in the tank? Won't it be stressed? Cories do best in groups, otherwise, most of the time, they will be hiding.
