One of my favourite moster fish! Saw a big one in melbourne aquarium back in 2004! Very cool fish!
Wanted to bring some small ones back cost only A$24 bucks or so but it is just impossible to bring this fish out of the country! |

i cant imagine how much we need to spend on chiller for this monster to keep it alive in sg.
with a 6ft max size this is definitely not suitable for a normal tank. extracted fr http://www.fishbase.org/summary/spec...y.php?id=10311: Size / Weight / Age Max length : 180 cm SL male/unsexed; (Ref. 5259); common length : 60.0 cm SL male/unsexed; (Ref. 5259); max. published weight: 113.5 kg (Ref. 27446); max. reported age: 48 years (Ref. 6987) |

I remembered last year the bros here tried to get some aussie lungs into SG. If Aussie lungs can make it to SG I don't see why murray cods can't. since its not expensive actually... if we can figure how ot get them to our shores, I'm sure we'll figure a way to keep them and acclimatise them eventually. I mean c'mon... we already keeping KBLs in freshwater right. What else could be impossble to acclimatise?
Okok... just getting optimistically high... thinking about that monster in my tank. |

Hi,
I believe there is still a handful of people who own the murray cod, as back in 2006, we bought in a batch of 100pcs sold to about 10 people from AF. Regards |
