Honestly...Singapore is an IDEAL country to keep most types of freshwater fishes due to the fact we have 1 constant season only and are water are good and not so expensive and scarce now.

Do NOT waste time and $, just buy a reasonably good and affordable AC like SeaChem Safe or Baxter which can last you months and months. Put the necessary dosage (abit more to be kiasu) of powder inside those plastic containers (where you get from tabao food from coffeeshop)...place yr tube into/over the container and switch on the water from tap.

Unless yr fishes are ultra sensitive or just arrived WC ones, then it shouldn't be any problem. TBH my WC regime on my plecos and tanganyikan cichlids are 75~80% each time and I switch on full blast just to save time. Even if fries, most if not all tend to be ok too.

Just my thoughts....keeping fishes shouldn't be a chore or hassle, so WC shouldn't go to the extreme too. Do things simple and enjoy, that's life. Cheers!
