Default Altolamprologus Compressicep sumbu shell

Some sumbu which I kept sometime ago...
Very shy fish, imo.
Not very successful with them though...

From our mini Tanganyika bro
Initially its a pair...
Female got harrased badly by male & died.
Didn't have the chance to see them spawn.
The male was so aggressive it even bite my hand a couple of times when i'm doing maintenance.
But was gentle to other tankmates.

So sad to hear. What kind of hideout did you give them? I have a group of seven now but no idea on how to breed them.

A couple of big rocks, large pvc pipes & some large shells which they never utilise.
Speaking of them make me miss them, very interesting character.
Maybe Kenneth can give us a word of advice

hmm... i remember i started with a group (around 5 i think), placed some stones and shells around... soon a pair formed and spawned. Tank size was 2.5 x 1.5 x 1.5, tank was shared with my wild firefins, the caudo fry never survived
