It is good to read up articles in other foreign forum. But they are doing or we are doing the same thing as they do. De chlorine the water, add buffer, Epsom salt and marine salt then let the tank cycle till Ammonia and Nitrite is '0'. But one thing we do differently from them is we tend to overstock our tank which they don't. Either we are lucky cause our LFS is very near as their may travel for hours to buy. Be it Gibberosa or frontosa, we are talking about PH, KH and Salinity. How much light needed for them and Rock scrapping and background to provide them a non stressful environment. Then lastly diet for them.
I had been testing on myself mixed diet for my Zaire and other Tangs. They consist of Hikari cichlid sinking pellet, garlic, vit c and spirilina powder. Let see if the colour will improve further in a month time. If it works then we can share this recipe in future. So far my Tricoti and Zaire love it so much. |

For my tang tank, I put coral chip in my External Filter canister 1st layer, it help buffer the PH level for my tank, so that it will not drop or change so drastically during water change.
