Malaysia"s new ruling for registration of foreign cars!
With the need to register before entering Malaysia, any Bros tried entering without registering?
I registered at their website since Tuesday but yet to receive any reply. Can any Bros advise ? Thank you in advance!! |

Received response from VEP today:
Thank you for your registration. Please be informed that drivers of foreign-registered vehicles entering Malaysia will soon be required to pay Road Charge of Ringgit Malaysia MYR20 for each entry. The RC is payable by using the Touch n' Go card - the same card you use to pay toll fees on all expressways in Malaysia. We are now testing the system to make sure that when the exercise is officially put in place, the system progresses smoothly. No monetary deduction will be made on your Touch n' Go card when you tap on the box marked RC for the duration of the field test. The Go-live date for RC with actual charges of RM20 and collection of VEP tag will be announced at a later date. You can definitely continue your journey as usual with VEP confirmation slip as a substitute for VEP tag. Thank you. Regards, VEP Support Team. |

I will be surprise if they are able to be so ready to execute this VEP thing, haha.
The email that I gotten it is last year May, they took one year to redo the whole system and now screw up again. My friend went to woodland custom to do it manually, they refer him to Komtar, JPJ office but when he reach there, they told him to do it online and it seems like there is no physical office been setup to issue the tag. Really boleh. |
